Hampton--3 Months

**Nicknames:  Ham Bone, Hamp, Hamp-diggity-dog, Hampy.
**Eats 5oz formula every 3-4 hours.
**Size 2 diapers
**You are still such a content and laid back little guy.
**3 month clothes fit perfectly (3-6 are still a little big)
**Sleeping ALL night (Usually about 8p-6a)
**You are still quite a little bobble head...maybe because tummy time ruins your day and your momma is too nice and hates to ruin your day...or maybe because you have a melon head (full of brains) and its just too heavy!!
**smiling and cooing (laughing?)
**You are loving daycare.  And your teachers (Ms. Donna, Ms. Michelle, Ms. Hannah, and Ms. Erin) are definitely loving and spoiling you.  You are one of only four kids in there right now with Briar, Claire and Mabry.  We love Bearden Early Enrichment Program...please don't kick us out in January!!

It is so much fun watching you grow and become more alert---you are definitely not a newborn anymore (teardrop).  Your dad and I love you more than anything in this world.  I joke with your Dad that I love him, and would jump in front of a car to save him....but the truth is, I would hesitate.  Now, put you in harms way and I would throw myself in front of that car so quick your head would spin!

Finally after 6 days without power ( after a random storm Tuesday night with high speed winds) it was restored last night around 8.  I think God knew that I couldn't take much more, as they were saying it could be Tuesday before we got it back.  Let's just say all three of us were a little fussy!  No power means....cold showers, EVERYTHING in our fridge is ruined, and we were hot!   Not to mention the TV, Internet, hairdryer, straightener, garage doors had to be manually lifted, couldn't do laundry which means no underwear, and did I mention we have a three month old :-)  So thankful its back on and also that our house was spared from any damage as others in the neighborhood were less fortunate.

Happy fathers day

3 reasons Hampton is lucky to have you as his daddy:

1. You keep his skin soft, flake less and smooth with ALL the lotion you put on him!
2. If he pees in the bath you will drain all the water and start over (I don't)!
3. You always help him find his thumb!

I can only imagine all the fun y'all are going to have over the years. Hope you enjoyed your day.

Hampton made a handkerchief for his dad (at school) and also got him an IPhone.

and we can't forget our dads--happy fathers day! we love y'all!

stay tuned for hampton's 3 month update...

Having these in your drawer at work...

and for documentations sake:
Hampton slept ALL NIGHT (10+ hrs) for reals!!
He went to bed at 8pm last night and I had to wake him up at 6:45 this morning to get ready for "school" daycare.  He did wake up at 5 this morning and I just watched him on the monitor for a good 5 minutes while he squirmed around and let out just a few cries, but he fell back to sleep.

We survived

Tears were produced but none were shed.

I picked him up at 3 and I swear he knew who I was! I got the best smiles and lots of coos... We came straight home and both took a nap-Hampton was asleep before we even made it to the car leaving "school."

Today I was running on pure's hoping it lasts the rest of the week because no more short days for me!

Hope everyone has a great week...I don't think you'll be hearing from me because I'm going to be TIRED!

Video Time

Attached are some videos of Me (Brent) and Hampton. We're trying to get him to smile on camera but he's too focused on the computer screen.

Last day of maternity leave

was Friday.  Reality starts {bright and early} Monday morning.

Not going to lie:  I'm excited to get back in the saddle ---I'm as ready as I'll ever be.  And I truly think Hampton is going to be in good hands.

However, I will be wearing waterproof mascara to drop this little sweetness off Monday morning....
do you blame me?

and we will see how it goes...

nobody is holding a gun to my head :-)
