Hampton's 3 year old survey...

I thought this would be fun to look back on.  Now remember, Hampton is not the best talker so I tried to explain what his words sound like when able....sometimes, I just can't even explain it :-)  He actually did a pretty accurate job, most of these questions I had never asked him before!  His answers are in blue.  **we are starting with a new speech therapist today!

How old are you? three (sounds like free)
Who is your best friend? Lake.  (sounds like Lay) Lake and Hampton had a BIG time this weekend!
What is your favorite thing to do? Cake.  meaning eat cake--also playing outside in the dirt, trains, cars.
What is your favorite animal?  Moooo.
What is your favorite color? blue (sounds like boo)
Favorite thing to wear?  Superman (sounds like soup-man).  Meaning his Superman shirts.
Favorite Toy?  Red car.  Lightning McQueen
What is your favorite song? Dog.  He said this means Old MacDonald had a Farm.  If I had chosen one for him it would have been Itsy Bitsy Spider.  Also, loves This Little Light of Mine and If You're Happy and You Know It.
What is your favorite thing to eat? cake.  of course!  Anything sweet.
Favorite thing to drink? milk.  Also loves orange juice.
What is your favorite book? ah ah book.  He means 5 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed...and he said this because Anne Lowry and Brent were just reading this book....but it is also a favorite around here.  Others include:  Little Blue Truck, Good Night Good Night Construction Site, The Little Engine That Could.
What is your favorite tv show?  Wild Kratts.  (sounds like: something cats) Also, loves Word World and Mickey Mouse.
What is your favorite movie?  Planes.  (sounds sort of like pain, but he also always spreads his arms like he's flying)
What do you want to be when you grow up?  Big Mommy.  Pretty sure he doesn't understand this question but I sure do love his answer!

Hampton, your dad and I love your little silly, smart (although very much on your own terms--not too interested in reading or learning your ABCs.  We finally have you counting to five....on a good day :-) sweet, snuggly, funny self more than you will ever know.  We are your biggest fans.  So thankful God gave us YOU!  Happy Third Birthday!

Happy Birthday, Hampton!!

We had a FULL weekend celebrating our precious first born!  We decided not to have an official birthday party this year, but it pretty much felt like one continuous birthday party all weekend starting Wednesday night when Nina got to town (that was after we went to Hibachi with the Flints and Hampton totally freaked out the whole time).  On Thursday we bought cupcakes, goldfish, and Capri Suns for his class snack.  On Friday, Chappy came up about 11am--PawPaw and Lake got here about 2pm--and my brother, Uncle Lowry, and the rest of his family got here about 9:45pm.  Brent's parents came up on Saturday!

More scenes from the weekend...

Happy third birthday to our favorite little boy in the whole wide world....we love you and are so proud of you!!

SB'14 the Zoo Pics

We had a great time.  Saw the two new tigers, rode the choo choo, petted the goats (while Hampton played in the dirt/goat's poop), played in the tunnel and rode the carousel.  Brooksie got to come with us which was awesome--I've asked her to come live with us because she is so much help!  She loves the babies and the babies love her :-)

Unfortunately, I didn't get any pictures of us just hanging out with the Aunts, Uncle and Grandparents :-(  Actually, I did get one of Aunt Marcy and Paula but they would kill me if I posted it, hehe!!

Now we are gearing up to celebrate Hampton's THIRD birthday!!

Spring Break '14 (Children's Museum)

I mean, Spring Break is just another week in the life of a SAHM with an almost 3 year old and an 18 month old--except Hampton didn't have school all week, whoopee (insert sarcasm on the whoopee part)!

Brent was on call all week and weekend, so the kids and I took off towards Hattiesburg on Thursday and ended up having a great "Spring Break" seeing friends and family!  Brent wasn't complaining too much as I think he ended up playing four rounds of golf while we were gone.

We stopped in Jackson on the way to Hattiesburg and met Julie, Reese and Remy to play at the Children's Museum.  This was our first time there and we enjoyed it a lot.  It was only just a little stressful making sure we didn't lose anyone :-)  Loved getting to hang out with our favorite Stumps!!

Next from our trip to the Hattiesburg Zoo :-)
