Some things about Anne Lowry at three....

--Size 7 shoe
--Size 3 or 4 clothes....some dresses are still 2.
--was taking about a 1- 1.5 hr nap most every day.  However, as of last week you have dropped it completely...:-/  You will still stay in your room for an hour or so just playing and talking, but no sleep.
--nicknames:  Lollipop, Lowry-pop, Lowry
--We switched you to a big girl bed a couple of months ago and it has been great.  You love it and sleep great.
--Oh potty training....may be the death of me. You have been wearing panties since the beginning of this Summer.  And I sent you to camps all Summer long that you had to be potty trained for....and you know what, you have never had an accident at camp or at school.  You've maybe had two accidents at home.  HOWEVER, you will NOT poo poo in the potty.  You will bring me a diaper when you have to go.  If I don't put one on you, you just won't go.  We've wasted lots of time just sitting on the potty.....n.o.t.h.i.n.g.  Anyway, I've been just putting a diaper on you when you needed to go so you wouldn't get a stomach ache, but after your birthday I stopped....and the only two times you've gone since then is once in your panties and once in the morning when you still had your pull-up on.  And actually you sometimes wear panties to bed and haven't had an accident.  I just don't know what else to do about the poop.....I'm about to give up again and you can just tell me when you're ready.  Ugh, so frustrating!!  Moving on.....(Update:  I gave up.  So much easier to put a diaper on her when she needs to go).
--You love to read books, art, sing (sometimes you turn a regular sentence into  a song), being tickled (beg for more), dressing up, dolls and your Daddy!
--You are very grateful and are quick to say thank you.  It is fun giving you gifts.
--very particular about your clothes....picking panties or PJ's can be just as big of a deal as your outfit.  it is a battle almost everyday.  Drives me crazy.  Seriously, you can scream and cry for an hour if what you want doesn't work.  Lord help me!
--Your facial expressions are still awesome.
--You and "Hamp" are best friends but can fight with the best of them!
--Tough as nails.  Surprisingly girly with a touch of tom-boy in there :)

Some funny things you've said lately:

--"You was a princess right there"  Looking at a wedding picture of Brent and I.  Melt my heart.

--Driving in the car she asked me for some apple juice and I told her that we would get some when we got home.  Anne Lowry said, "No, just go to that window and ask that little girl."  Referring to a drive thru !!

--She will sometimes call me "Miss Ramey."  Cracks me up!

--She came and found me the other morning to tell me ... "I ate my lip with my cereal."

  tennis rabbit = tennis racket
book pack = book bag/back pack
go-bees = boobies (I do not like that word and I don't like calling them breast
we are just going with "go-bees"  :-)
  bathing soup = bathing suit

Anne Lowry,
You are independent ("I can do it"), very verbal, smart, opinionated, stubborn, and strong-willed.  These are all things I prayed my DAUGHTER would be and I'm so thankful you have these qualities......however, some days these things make me want to pull my hair out....and I may be scared to death just thinking about your teenage years!  You are also very caring, sweet as can be and snuggly....when you're not mad about something.  Honestly, there is no way to accurately describe you to a stranger on this screen :-)
Your Daddy and I love you more than anything.  I know I say this every time, but you definitely keep us on our toes and in stitches.  I can't tell you how many times your dad and I have just looked at each other...smiled and shook our heads while watching you.  Anne Lowry, we will always be your biggest cheerleaders and I can't wait to see what great things are in your future!
                                                   XOXO, Mama
